8 Οκτωβρίου 2006 — “Flying…”
(Macross, art (c) Tenjin Hidetaka)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960
When I saw this scan of Tenjin Hidetaka, I thought it would make a wonderful wallpaper. So I ‘ve tried to make one out of it. I hope I managed to do something good…
In fact there are no many differences between the original painting and my wallpaper. I ‘ve just extracted the plane and attached it in a new sky… A sky of a shiny day… My sky…
12 Ιανουαρίου 2007 — “Take me by hand…”
(RahXephon, art (c) Studio BONES)

16:9 * 960×600 || 1280×800 || 1440×900 || 1680×1050

Recently I watched the RahXephon series. I loved the artwork; So I decided to make a wallpaper…
A big thanks goes to my friends from a local forum here in Greece, and especially to Turgon for their help! (Without them this wallpaper wouldn’t be the same…)

(Serial Experiments Lain, art (c) Yoshitoshi Abe)

The whole incindent of creating this wallpaper was just a matter of luck;
I wanted to make a wallie but I had no inspiration, until… Until I stumbled upon a stock photo I had in my pc; When I saw it I knew I was looking at the perfect bg for a Lain wallie.
This wallpaper is mirroring my understanding of SEL; I always have this anime in mind as a dark place full of grunges; I hope the outcome does justify to it.

25 Ιανουαρίου 2007 – “My little corner in this big world, called…”
(Futurhythm, art (c) Murata Range)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960 || 1400×1050 || 1600×1200
I think I ‘ll say a short story…
For days I wanted to make a wallpaper but no inspiration would come. My mood was going down ‘n’ down ‘n’ down… Then it occured to me to open some artbooks in digik.net and try to get inspired by some scan; Still nothing; When I was about to raise my hands and let it be I stumbled upon this image drawn by Range Murata. My brain awoke from its sleep and suddenly thousands of opportunities bombed my senses.
This wallpaper took me almost two days to be finished and it ’s my first attempt to create something without using any brushes and just playing with the lightings. The background is a stock photo again found in [link] and modified with several filters so it looks like this.

27 Ιανουαρίου 2007 — “A New Beginning”
(Candy Candy, art (c) Yumiko Igarashi)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960 || 1400×1050 || 1600×1200
First of all I have to say that this one is made as a birthday gift for a very good friend of mine. Her name is Maria and she loves the Candy Candy series. So when I found this artwork I thought I should do it;
I wanted the whole wallie to look like an expressionistic painting so I ‘ve used several filters and different kinds of lighting on it. The bg is based upon a stock photo a friend gave me.

4 Φεβρουαρίου 2007 — “Dreams of Reality”
(Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku, art (c) AkiTarty AIC/Pioneer LDC)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960 || 1400×1050 || 1600×1200
Ima, sokoni iru boku is my favourite anime. It features to me an ecological and anti-war cry. Moreover it gives in an allegorical way pieces of the reality we are lliving into. Lala Ru, the main female character, is something like the “soul of the planet”. I tried to convey with all these in this wallpaper. My ambition was to paralel reality with the concept of this anime. My belief is that I ‘ve managed in some way…
As for the wall itself. It is a combillation of four photos, a spaceshot of the Earth, the scan (of course), and two different textures. There are several blurred layers and lots of color playing. What I have most certainly to say is that the scan was in a pretty lousy condition, so I had to completely recolor it (actually I ‘ve changed the colours of her clothes as to fit to my point of view) and reline it. As a result she seems a little sharp. Oh! I forgot to mention the text appearing at the bottom. This quote is taken by the anime itself. In fact this is the opening quote of every episode so I felt it suitable to use it.

(Exist, art (c) Takeshi Okazaki)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960 || 1400×1050 || 1600×1200

11 Φεβρουαρίου 2007 — “Odyssey”
(The War of Genesis III, art (c) Hyung-Tae Kim)

4:3 * 800×600 || 1024×768 || 1152×864 || 1280×960 || 1400×1050 || 1600×1200
Here I am again with a new wallie;
This one is my first vector work and moreover my first attempt to make pop art. The outcome is a bit weird actually but I kinda like it.
“She is floating over dark waters holding in her hands her own destiny. This is her odyssey;”, these words come in my mind when I look at it;
Now for the creation. I used a scan of the Hyung Tae Kim’s “OXIDE2X” artbook. The original idea was to completely vector it (I mean all the colors) but as I was working it I decided to make only the hair and leave the rest black, it looked more pop this way; Also I used a spaceshot. In fact the circular object she hugs is a planet. There are also a texture and a couple of brushes and that’s all.
